The material of the rings is comparable to vulcanized rubber in its hardness, it also has a low residual deformation. The elasticity persists at temperatures from –40° to +130°C. The rings are highly resistant to detergents, most base acids, abrasion, bacteria and fungi, destruction at elevated temperatures, ozone, ultraviolet light, oxidation, weathering and aging.
